Marlow Dental Centre provides patients with a broad range of facilities and technology in a relaxed and safe environment. Practice principal, Simon Ashcroft, wanted to further the practice by equipping it to the highest standard.
The benchmark practice required the most effective IT systems possible, in order to progress their everyday activity. Simon approach Dental IT to configure a unique and tailored management system to match their individual needs as a practice.
Dental IT was involved right from the early planning stages of the installation, liaising with architects, builders, cabinetry suppliers and the selected software company, Carestream. This would ensure the IT infrastructure was appropriate for this stunning new build practice.
A high end HP ProLiant server was installed, in addition to UPS, broadband and switch, and the supply and installation of the phone system – a state-of-the-art IP PBX – with advanced telephony features. Paramount to the installation of R4, Kodak Imaging and R4 Backoffice, was the accurate integration of the software onto the network, which included the backup of all clinical and critical data.
The Dental IT team was able to install all workstations, printers, scanners and peripherals effectively throughout the practice, without any downtime or disruption. The practice now features a fully integrated management system and technologies to match the high quality equipment utilised within it.
